Founded in 1989, The Vietnamese Alliance Church of D.C. was founded to spread Christ amongst the Vietnamese diaspora. We are a branch of the Vietnamese Alliance Church, which falls under the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. The Alliance is committed to caring for the underserved and spreading Jesus’ name throughout all ends of the Earth.
We follow this mission and are seeking to build a church that equips and trains workers to serve all peoples, not just the Vietnamese.
Our Vision:
All of Jesus for all the world.
This is the same vision of Albert Simpson, who founded The Alliance in 1887 in New York City. Simpson and his band of followers establisheda church in which everyone—the poor, homeless, ill, and disenfranchised—was welcome. Simpson’s ministry to New York’s immigrants ignited in him—and in others—a deep concern for the world’s unreached masses.
Our Mission:
To know Jesus as:
Savior
Salvation was made available to us through the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sanctifier
By dwelling within us, Jesus cleanses us daily from sin and empowers us to live as God intends.
Healer
Divine life and healing flow from Jesus into the life of believers.
Coming King
Jesus will return to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.
